Would it make sense to re-branch stable from current head? Or are there any commits from master you do not want in stable?
Right now I only see potential for errors due to merging. Plus it will reduce the size of the repository.

It would be nice to have that graph without the feature requests. Right now the red line will inevitably go up over time not because of bugs but because of an increasing number of open feature requests.
Isilkor deleted the old branch for me and I created a new stable-7.0 from master. A dry-release is running and will arrive here: http://londeroth.org/~ck/dry-release/
We released 7.0!
Can someone add the source package to the download site?
The other thing is to await the linux packages to be build and notify the maintainers in case they have missed us.
Can someone close 7.0 in the bugtracker and add a 7.2 roadmap? (Maybe we can also add a feature roadmap to collect features?)
