In 298feab44 I changed the netpuncher protocol a bit to allow extending it in the future without breaking compatibility with the 8.0 release. Unfortunately, this does break compatibility with previous snapshot engines.
Everyone relying on the netpuncher to host their games will need at least that version. As the autobuilds and snapshots are still broken, I've manually created a snapshot for Windows users: https://lwrl.de/openclonk-298feab44.zip
(I also reimplemented the netpuncher server in Go which is now running on my server. C4NetIOUDP has some issues for long-running servers and it helped me understand the protocol better.)
