As far as I remember, the increasing of the Inventory slots was introduced, because You will need a lot more tools for settlement now, like hammer for buildings or the axe for tree-chopping. Though I agree that the inventory count is pretty high, even if you always take the items you need for the stuff you can do with a Clonk without
items (axe,shovel), you still have five slots.
