Up Topic Game lags only for laggy clients?

A very naive idea: could it possibly help if Clonk just sends every packet twice (when in a known laggy-wlan-environment)? Halves the throughput obviously - but that should not be a problem since Clonk does not need throughput but reliability and speed and it would not rely on any answer from the host before re-sending the packet.
