I'd recommend earth colors instead of cyan and bright red violet: yellow ochre for yellow, umbra brown variations for browns, burnt sienna for red. Maybe a green earth color for greenish mushrooms. If we include color variations into the original mushroom these colors would be useful. Brighter secondary/primary colors for some kind of uneatable or toxic ones.
