Well, in principle you create a c4u via C4Group and name it following the way you posted. The engine then contacts the Masterserver to get the current version. If it differs from the current engine Clonk offers to download the new version and uses it just as it would use any other c4u, updating all changed files. And that is it really, though I haven't included the version line into the current C4Masterserver yet.
