The landscape editor has actually low functions, I think, that there can be added more features like:

-Becier curves
-Integrated draw board support, that means: hart push-> Big circle, soft push-> Small circle
-Color regulator(You can fill in the RGBa-Values, and get a other color for the folowing materials, with alpha)
-Bump-Regulator(You can fill in a values between -101 to 101)

Please don't mix ideas & concepts with feature requests. It is not of any use now that we don't even have a game yet. If you have to post it, do it in the bugtracker. I am locking this.
