OpenClonk is still lacking both the ashes materials (FlyAshes and Ashes), would be nice to have them, so that lava does not change to coal or rock or whatever.
I seem to recall that I made that change. Though as for a source of ashes, Burning Trees->Ashes would be neat.
On the topic of burning trees.. think we could get a charred version of our tree? Without needles/leaves and maybe some texture adaptions?
(And maybe also a cool animation where the leaves just fade out/vanish so we can put fire-effects there per script... or do that in animation, with a glow-texture that fades out instead of green-texture ;))

I would do it so:
When: lava + water -> obsidian/vulcanic rock
lava + time/without water -> ashes
When: lava + water -> obsidian/vulcanic rock
lava + time/without water -> ashes
