I said I believed God and His Word 100%.

So no you did not sum it up you miss quoted me. Which is in my opinion the same as lying. :/

Your taking my words way out of context.

What? I replied to this post!

Sorry, but you are still taking it way out of context.

What I was trying to say is that if God's word is true (I believe it is) then you should ask God to forgive you of your sins, so that you don't go to hell.

If that is what you were trying to say then I am sorry for misunderstanding you. :{

No, I still think I understood you right:

> there are no benefits to believing evolution, but there are many benefits to believing creation.

If for you, it is about truth, not about which belief would be the most convenient for you (in that case, pray to Shiva), then for finding and legitimating that belief it should be irrelevant whether the possible consequences of a belief are good for you.

Why would I pray to Shiva if God is one true god and Shiva is a false god? I believe in God and His Word because it is truth and the fact that I will go to heaven is just a big benefit that goes with believing the truth and asking forgiveness from God.

What you believe to be the truth is up to you.

Just saying, if you believed in Shiva you might benefit greatly from him by asking him for boons. People told me he practically gives them away for free.

Of course, neither you nor I believe that. Because for believing in the possibility to receive boons from Shiva one had to first believe in Shiva. And for you, the former is certainly no reason to start believing in Shiva, is it?
Parent - - By J. J. [us] Date 2013-09-23 03:35
Because I believe in the Bible as truth and since the Bible can never be proven not to be the truth then I would never believe in Shiva. So there is no reason to believe in Shiva.

So in the same respect would you believe in evolution if it were not the truth?

Like any other scientific theory, evolution might turn out to be incorrect under certain conditions.
Evolution is falsifiable.
Parent - - By J. J. [us] Date 2013-09-27 17:32
Not only is evolution falsifiable it ,in my opinion, is false.
Where as the Bible ,since it is the truth, is not falsifiable.
So in my opinion the only logical thing to do is to accept the Bible as truth.
Would you not agree?

Yes, but your opinion defies all logic.

Something not falsifiable cannot be true. By saying the Bible is not falsifiable, you are admitting it not to be true.
