If it's just one song repeatedly, it would also play over and over again while changing options, waiting in the lobby, choosing a scenario, renaming clonks... it would also re-start every time you come back to the lobby after a game, so chances are good that you'll hear the first 30 seconds (or so) much, much more often than the whole song. There was a point when I couldn't stand the beginning of the frontend song in CR (CE?) and immediatly turned it off when it played ingame.
