I don't Know if is possible to Improve performance, but the game are very slow for particles and effect.
O the first mission when the plane start attack the FPS go down.
If i use three "Gravity Gem" in the same time, the FPS go down.
If there are more then 10 flames object on the screem the FPS go down.
This can be a big problem on future.
If the basic game are very slow... The modded will be very, very slow.
It is not a critic, but a idea to be implemented by developers.
Go to see "Starbound", it is a great game but the performance is horrible. Another game, "Stronghold Cruzader 2", the performance is horrible.
I don't want to see openclonk in the same trail.

Can you make sure the NVIDIA GPU is used by uploading a log file, can be found the application data somewhere.
Mh, yes, that sounds good :)
What Maikel said: you probably have two graphics cards that can be switched somehow. The OpenClonk log file (in %APPDATA%/roaming/OpenClonk/OpenClonk.log) should contain a line at the top that says which graphic card is used. Maybe the onboard card is used for OpenClonk?

Yes, you're almost certainly running it on the wrong GPU.
Maybe we should just link DirectX into our windows builds again to force these stupid Optimus drivers to use the correct GPU?

Starting with the Release 302 drivers, appl
ication developers can direct the Optimus
driver at runtime to use the High Performanc
e Graphics to render any application–even
those applications for which there is no existi
ng application profile. They can do this by
exporting a global variable named
NvOptimusEnablement
. The Optimus driver looks for
the existence and value of the export. Only th
e LSB of the DWORD matters at this time. A
value of
0x00000001
indicates that rendering should be performed using High
Performance Graphics. A value of
0x00000000
indicates that this method should be
ignored.
