I plan to host a Clonk Meeting (CM) in early April this year. The location will be my parents' house in Offenburg, south-western Germany (same location as CM16). In general everyone is invited, however, as I hope the meeting's scope will be on OpenClonk development I'd give priority to people involved in OpenClonk development in case more people sign up than there is room for. There is room for about 10 participants (myself excluded).
My suggestion for the timeframe is April 1 to April 8, though I am somewhat flexible regarding that, so feel free to suggest alternatives that fit better for you. I can provide one complete PC and at least two more screens in case someone can't bring their own.
A traditional CM is an informal gathering of Clonkers and a good occasion to meet the people with which you communicate via chat or forums every day. We'll have some fun playing and developing Clonk, and be able to communicate and discuss ideas and issues effectively. We can also pursue other activities (journey, cinema, whatever) depending on people's wishes.
If you are interested to participate and halfway certain that you can make it, please sign up by replying. More details will follow as the meeting approaches.

I would like to participate, the time is okay. The location is somewhat hard to reach, either by train for the little amount of 200 euros, or by car, I wonder if my dad can do without a car for a week. Maybe some others from the Bremen region also travel by car, so that the costs can be shared. 200 euros is quite a lot of money.
I would like to be there, and I don't have exams in the time. If anybody travels via Deutsche Bahn from Frankfurt/Main, we can probably get a cheaper group ticket. Ignore that, I'll take the ICE and be there in a quarter of the time.
Would you mind bringing that awesome game with you again?
Maybe a other time.
>i probably wont come, but maybe you can place a microphone and speakers in some place and hand a picture of me next to it, so i can chat with you via skype :p
That's an option. :D
I'd like to participate as well, but nothing is sure at the moment.
;)
but i think i'm the only one with holidays in march...
One week earlier is also OK for me. What is the opinion of the others who are interested? I added a poll to the topic.
Well, no-brainer, I'd also attend if possible. The usual disclaimers apply, though - can only come "probably" and can't promise I'll be really working on OC :)
you are supposed to come, because without you, I'm scared...
Note that it is also possible to check both dates. So some people might have voted for both in case they don't mind the date.
ups
so, we need a non-anonymous vote ;)
or comments...
As most people prefer the earlier date I'd say let's fix this one, so people can start buying tickets. The OCM will take place from March 21 to March 28. The following people showed interest; let me know if anything changes for you:
Likely to come:
There will probably be four fully-equipped sleeping places, one of which I promised to clonkine already, but feel free to distribute the remaining ones amongst you. Others will need to bring sleeping pads/bags. Eating will be a mixture of frozen food, going out and maybe cooking if we feel like it. On the financial side I think you are on the safe side if you carry about 100 euros.

- Maikel
Isilkor- Newton
- Sven2
- clonkine

Clonkonaut- Mortimer(?)
PeterW- Zapper

OK.
So, about travelling:
I'd like to prefer travelling together with Newton, Sven, Günther, Clonkonaut, Zapper and perhaps Maikel (because of the same direction we come from) What about you? I talked to Sven, he seems to come by car and does have 4 more places. Or what about DeutscheBahn? ICE or RE...depends on you!
Anything else we shall bring, ck?
> Anything else we shall bring, ck?
The Clonk board game :D. I can't think of anything else right now. I do have all the network stuff (switches, cables) here.
I'll pick up everyone travelling by train at the station.
what is clonk? never heard of it! crazy thing...
perhaps i'll come visit you? don't know!
don't panic!
One more bed is reserved to Newton. One is left.
So be it.
nice
edit: so zapper, we can hang next to each other, while sleeping! ;)
I'm able to take a week of holidays - I can come for sure :). I wouldn't mind sharing fuel costs if some care driver coming from the north (cologne or something) would make a detour to Trier.
Otherwise I'll take the ICE, time of travelling is still unknown. In this case, would you mind providing a guitar to the meeting (some old playable garbage will do)? I would be glad to get an old monitor as well, too.

Oh yeah, guitar!
