I replaced the libupnp-based implementation with one using miniupnpc yesterday. Snapshot users on Linux will have to install the library.

The main reason for the change was that libupnp does not work with my router for some reason, but miniupnpc does. As a side benefit, the code is also simpler.

Did anybody use the old UPnP implementation successfully? Does the new implementation work for you?

In case it doesn't work, there should be a couple of messages logged to the logfile.
