Clonkonaut and me installed, configured and modified a MediaWiki for use as a CMS (and more) for the OpenClonk Website. You will have noticed the bar on the top. The links of the bar are not final and can be changed in future.
Is it possible to link registration to the forum and the wiki, so I don't have to register a separate account for everything?
Yes, there must be just someone who writes this :P (and I never really did anything with mySQL)
Well, it would result in either combining the two tables (Wiki + Board) and rewriting the login for at least one of them. So this would result in a third database for the users and then slightly changing both, or for one of them beeing adapted to the other one. And that would only be one step, because you still have got two sessions for the boards, which would result in two different logins. Also I don't know how mwForum encrypts the passwords so this would be anover thing. In any case it would result in a reset for one of them, so if you really want to do it, you'd better get to work soon.
mwforum has Authentication Plugins, so one could write one which uses the mediawiki cookies or user table. The example does not look terribly hard to modify.
Think twice before spending one minute of integration work for every second of user time saved. Especially since the resulting mods will often keep admins from merging/installing application updates at the cost of security.
Or if you really have time to waste, consider using OpenID instead of reinventing the wheel and chaining everything to MW or mwForum. Both of these apps already support it (MW with an add-on AFAIR). This may not be an option, though, if this is shared hosting instead of a 10€ virtual root server.

I thought the mwforum plugin would still work after an update? Mediawiki changes to the user table might be a problem, but those should be quite rare. Of course, without shared cookies the saved time for the users would be a one time thing.
Plugins may continue to work, but there's no guarantee outside of stable branches.
Anyway, this was meant in a general sort of way. I just don't like it if admins never ever update stuff just because they modded it for some non-vital reason.

It looks quite good.
