So we are allowed to use French, but not German?

Since when are we not allowed to speak German on the forums? Many people have done that already, it's just that the 'primary' language of this site is English.

Rather, in IRC it's requested that users write in English for the international users (English is the most common language in the Western world afaik).

It's probably time to lift that IRC rule, though - we've all become accustomed to the language switch of the development team, so there's no harm anymore in people using German if the audience is limited anyway for other reasons.

With your thoughts I was thinking about a translate bot... but it seems to be a better to just stick to english... besides the good side effect that you get trained with this...
