The graph begins a little earlier, but in the first year the repository only included the redwolf design website. Don't read too much into it, the graph doesn't take the size of commits into account, and I don't know how gitstat deals with Mercurial commits that got rebased. (Git commits should at least have mostly accurate commit date information, but I also do not know whether these are used.)
