Do we need new game modes?

Well, sooner or later there will be the question of new game modes. So, do you think we need new game modes? If yes, which do/could we need? I think new game modes would make the game more fun to play, than only the same goals.
At the moment we know from the game modes "melee", "settlement" (settlement score), "goldmine", "monsterkill", "wipf resque" (save the wipfs), "construction" (all buildings must be built), "race" and some more.
I could imagine a goal that is called "campaign" or "mission". You may already know what I mean, because some scenarios from Clonk Planet/Endeavour/Rage are missions (one of the best examples for that is InExantros).

"Mission" has a quite complex definition. (What rhymes is whatever...)

I think "yes" or "no" does not really say anything there. Feel free to suggest new game modes. If they are implemented and fun to play you can nearly be sure that they'll be in the game ;)
I think some really furious goals could be fun, p.e. "Lose your clonks" (the player who first has no more clonks has won :P) or something like that...
A single player campaign would be quite nice. A bunch of levels that are all connected by a story. It could start with some simple tutorial levels (goldmine-like, small settlement round).
Maybe we give the player the opportunity to go an untroubled or an aggressive way to finish the campaign.
The story could be something with different clonk tribes that might each have its unique skills. Some are very good in building up their settlement, some are strong fighters and so on...
Everything starts with the players tribe (maybe he can choose one). Because of fruitless grounds/little space/urge to discover/another important reason the tribe has to leave its settlement.

Another "Race". Something like "Timerace". Either you good 5min Time to finish as much rounds as possible, or to finish the fastest round in X min.
"Best Times" for each players would be great, I think.
If the player wins a race in for example 5 Minutes, then the time is saving in the Player data.
Later if the player plays the game again, there is the players best times on the screen, before the race runs...
That could be usefull.
