I made a Logo that doesnt fit between the others we had so far but i think it is very punchy.

How about sticking to the Tango Icon Theme Guidlines? (Perhaps not to all points but they've made a great base of how icons/logos are supposed to look like.)
Another OpenSource Logo you can bear in mind: Teeworlds.

Teeworlds Logo: Thats a style, I wouldnt prefer...
>So yes, OS X Aqua style is inspiring and a reference on several issues mentioned later. Oxygen, however, does not intend to copy anything but rather to collect ideas for the ways that people present visual metaphors with an eye not only on artwork but also on usability and improve on these ideas.

I'd favour a logo that incorporates the established "Clonk" from the prior Clonk games plus the game title of the OpenClonk game or a completely new style which fits to the new look of the game. E.g. if we go towards Clockpunk, with gears and such.

>Customer, hurr? ;-)
Another word for new User, whatever.

Yeah, thats the reason I'll prefer to wait with some additional art, like Logos, Banners, matthes will know.

2) compositing of rendered and vectorized items
3) Vectorized with special effects so it looks very 3d (e.g. car brands)
choose one.

Logos should normaly not be rendered. A SVG would be the best i think.
I dont think so. SVG is more common and free. I dont see any drawbacks.
I think SVG stands more for OpenSource. And as we're talking about OpenClonk, why don't use OpenSource formats (in gerneral)?
Or shall we stick to .eps during the development process, and include an exported SVG to the final version?
By the way, how is (e)ps licensed? Is it OpenSource?

We have to have a toilet brush!
Apart from all S2brush-fetish... Is it already clarified, that the game title is Open Clonk?

Well, it inflicts the tradition, that names always are "Clonk" and some nondefining but cool sounding word. And I think, OpenClonk just sounds like whatever, it doesn't make me hungry to play it.

Open
Clonk
In my opinion we should show these people outside of the Clonk Wold(TM) the connection of Clonk with Open Source in a good looking, stylish logo. What are your thoughts about my idea?

Yes, I know I'm not the best designer.

Can't we leave the original Clonk-Letters? Or are they also protected?

Er, I'm feeling free to qoute Nachtfalter in the first part of his saying - because I not really share his opinion in the second one ;)
>Hurr, not really or? Logo isnt Klick klick and finish. First we should make some brainstorming about ideas of the game, what the Logo will say to the Customer and which Elements/Fonts we need.
