Isilkor set up another repository for resources of openclonk. It shall be used for storing the resources of OpenClonk - like (project files / files in native file formats for) sounds, graphics, textures, models and what-not.
Of course the boards "Art Workshop" and "Sound Studio" are still the main place where the work is done and feedback is given. However, when several people are working (successively) on one model for UV-unwrapping or editing animations, it gets tedious to hand the work over or having to ask for the native files all the time. At the end, we need the models in the OGRE format, but we don't want to use them on the way as they are impossible to import in some 3D-modellers.
The same for textures and other graphics. It's so much better to work right away with the .xcf or .psd files when editing graphics but having to hand it over in the forum all the time is tedious and confusing.
We don't have lots of sound files yet, but the repository is meant to store project files of e.g. Audacity too.

The same keys for write-access as for the standard openclonk repository work for this one.

This announcement is not meant as a request to commit all the models to the repository now and in future immediately. As long as the model is still in the feedback phase and there are not several people involved in working on the model, there is no need to rush.

verry nice, but i think wavefront format (.obj) is a better choise, because it can be opened by anyone (afaik).
