Hello,
I'm playing the "crashed plane" mission. And I'm now already waiting like 15 minutes to save. In the beginning the save went rather quick, but after each save it took longer (I saved like 4 times in total). CPU is 100% (at one of my 4 Cores), but no HDD activity.
Is this a known problem?
Also I noticed that my fps went down from fluid (I found the setting later) to now 7 fps... :-/
I have a phenom II x4 955 and a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+, does this game have HW-accleration?
cheers
tom
PS:
I'm on linux 64-bit.

Hi there!
Yes, this is a known problem: http://bugs.openclonk.org/view.php?id=1064 (because I suspect it's the same problem for you).
The solution would be to remove all wheat from your game:
First press CTRL + F5 - it should say "Debug Mode: On" or something afterwards.
Then open the chat (press Enter)
And type: "/script RemoveAll(Find_ID(Wheat))" without quotation marks, press enter.
The game should speed up afterwards.

Aha, ok thanks for the info.
Now I tried the dark castle map and when I load my savegame there, clonk just quits/crashes, is this also known?

/script RemoveAll(Find_ID(Wheat))
It says debug mode on, but entering /script RemoveAll(Find_ID(Wheat)) has no effect.
Does the wheat has to be on screen?
Does the wheat has to be on screen?
No, it doesn't has to be. After entering, you should get any kind of message (in the bottom left corner), stating how many objects have been removed. At least it should say "0".
It doesn't say anything.
Also the color change to simulate night is evil ... :-/ (Typing this on a blue screen right now.)

As Maikel stated below, you must start the scenario as a network game otherwise you can't get into the debug mode. Sorry again.
After removal of the wheat, you can restart the game in single player mode.

Huh. Now I get what Pyrit was saying. Apparently, you can't enter the debug mode in the release of OC. I was testing in another environment yesterday. Sorry!
If you still want to play the savegame, I can try to fix it. Can you attach it to one of your postings / upload somewhere? Otherwise, the bug is game breaking right now :(

You can still enter the debug mode in a non-league network game.
So if you start the savegame in network mode for a second you can execute the removal script.

Is there a reason for not allowing debug mode in non-network games?
This always annoyed me when I was playtesting my own scenarios, I don't want to do that in editor mode, cause I start cheating to fast, but having no debugging tools sucks even more...

That's a bit of a relic. The /script command was supposed to be a development aid, so it was only allowed on your own scenarios. It should always work even in single player if the scenario is unpacked or packed by yourself.
Just allowing it everywhere except in league should be fine. We could even implement a vote to cancel league evaluation and allow /script after that vote.
