I took some photos today and made seamless textures from them. They are not scaled yet.

Wow, some of them are very spacey - I like them! :o

Where did you take them?

Museo di Storia Naturale - Mineralogica i Litologia, in Florence

Nice! Unfortunately, most are too blurry to be of any use I think. Or well, you'd have to scale them down until they are crisp to see what the resulting resolution they'd have. Our textures are all 512x512.

Additionally, they need some more processing to be able to use them in the game. Here is what needs to be done exactly:
* scale down so that they are not blurry anymore
* make them square
* make them tileable (I see you already did that, but on the base of a non-square image)
* save as JPEG

I actually tried it with them as non square images and it works. :o

I did this intentionally, at least the part with leaving them too large. As for the blur, that's my camera, it is not very good. I can also upload the non-tileable pictures if anyone needs them. Anyway, I uploaded the pictures mostly unmodified so that someone who is more skilled in making textures can adjust them to their needs.

We can still use them to build material textures. E.g. take a brick texture and overlay crystals in some areas to create a magic castle wall.
