Hello,
today I had some time to check out the "new-mainmenu" and I recognized, that the registration-stuff is still present in the main-menu. It really confused me, because I thought, openclonk is going to be a free open-source game, which doesn't need to register. Any "official" statements?
For addition, I made a patch, which just replaces the "Register-Now!" button in the credits-menu with a new, ultra-spectacular "Visit openclonk.org" button, which just opens your favourite browser and navigates to "http://wiki.openclonk.org". Do, whatever you like with the patch.

You don't need to register for any OpenClonk content. There's no restrictions in place that prevent you from doing things without a valid registration key. In fact, none of us has access to the private key needed to sign new key files.
