By the way, here its obvious that if we have more photorealistic and colorful textures, we need a soft transition between the different textures to make it look better. Additionally, the textures are very different from each other iin structure and coloring, I wonder if or how this could look. Or if a tunnel would look good which always has the texture and color of the material that has been digged free but darker.

can I use these Textures for gwX Voxel-Landscapes?

As long as you comply with the terms of CC-by (German version for your convenience), you can do whatever you want. :)
Ok, some textures from me, hope that they will prove useful.:
They are all my work, and I post them all under CC-by license, so feel free to do anything you want with them.

Some more textures(+normal maps) in textures1.zip file, [Hi-res] are 1024x1024, and [Low-res] are 256x256, other are 512x512. I post them under CC-by license:
EDIT.: Actually there will be 3 .zip files as they all together have ~9MB
EDIT2.: There will be 4 files, why it must be 3000000b instead of 3MB?
EDIT3.: HUH!!!! I uploaded all four files, why is there only one?

I made them myself, they quality is bad especially because my camera is quite cheap one. I know that they are not too good, but I hoped that they could be usefull too.
EDIT.: I think that bark texture is quite good...

Yes of course that would be boring. And most people will think of green acid anyway. Maybe there should be some effects (bubbles, swashing, froth) for fluids that make them look more interesting.

The bottom is the acid. Underwater (sorry, 'underacid') ist is just leight greenish.
Is that acid? I don't think it feels like acid at all. I have always thought of it as some industrial polluted water. It iw way too dark and brownish IMO. I think it should be bright green, with a fuzzy bubbly animation. Maybe make it shit appearance depending on a corrosion variable.
Almost none corrosion = darker green, no bubbles
Some corrosion = brighter, few bubbles
Much corrosion = very bright, alot of fuzzing and bubbling and fchhh-noise. Almost like it were boiling.
Then acid wouldn't have a constant damage either. That would give more oppurtunities when making maps.

That sounds great, but it could be very ressource-consuming with mixing materials...
I think just two or three different acids wouldn't be very good, so the acids must be mixable, as all other fluids, too, to get different corrosion values.
That wouldn't be THAT hard...
Each liquid give their properties to the final liquid, and the corrosion value depend on that, oil would give it ignition properties, and water just dillute.

I dont mean three different acids. I mean ONE acid that has a constant called Corrosion that can be set somehow. Maybe upon the creation of the acid, i e the generation of the field, and that affects its behaviour.
I think that's a great idea, and would certainly enhance the complexity of the gameplay \o/ (and the fun >:3)

Otherwise I find the idea to make the lava look ~like that super!

The water texture actually looks quite good. At least in comparison to the one-color mega-blue of Clonk Rage water.
